Pilates Mat Foundation
I am a qualified Pilates Mat, Yoga (Muscles and Motion), and Group Exercise Instructor. I am also qualified as a Classical Ballet and Modern Dance Teacher. I am certified in First Aid Levels 1-3 and Basic Life Support, as well as a Facilitator. My career experience has included working at a Pilates studio, owned by a Biokineticist. I was exposed to clients who needed rehabilitative exercise and used the Pilates equipment such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chair, etc. I have gained invaluable experience working with Patients at a Chiropractor's Practice in Corrective Exercise. I have a passion for learning about anatomy and physiology, which I am also certified in. My purpose is to assist clients in using Pilates exercises to heal their physiological muscle imbalances and weaknesses in order to move more effectively and with ease in their day to day functional movement. As well as to assist with their body's structural alignment.
Work through the basics of Pilates, understanding and activating the core muscles to assist with functional day to day movements and gain length in alignment and strength in your muscles and skeletal system. You will need a mat, water and a towel.
